    i always record my vinyl samples into wav files first. for me, it always sounds like i'm losing quality when sampling an mp3. can anyone tell the difference between a wav file and a 320 bitrate mp3 file?

    I have always been told to never attempt eq monitors so that they are what seems to be accurate to the room. What do you think about that?

    It's probably a newbie question but how can I tell? My computer is a not so old hand-me-down but it had an upgraded soundcard when it was originally purchased. I was just wondering where you can look to see what it supports. Thanks.

    i use audition and it's fine, i use it for recording scratches and sampling. we use garageband for vocals on my friend's mac and no problems there either.

    got a question, not sure if it can be done or not. i'm currently using fl5 but i've been a user since at least fl3. i know that when you bring up the slicer properties after you've loaded a loop that you can adjust the number of slices using the two knobs on the lower right part of the pop-up...
