ideally the more elements you can incoroporate live the better. sometimes u are limited by the venue/situation. i swear u could play the exact same song twice one with live instrument one with a cd even if they sounded the exact same you would get a better response from the live one. i dunno... -

what do make beats in? if u make beats in pro tools, pt acts funny with NI stuff. that may be why u think u need more power. u prolly dont. if u use mad NI stuff, i would try making beats in logic or ableton and then just use pt for recording and mixing. i couldnt even run the kompete demo in my... -
