I’d @Fade leave my office job if I could, wish I was retired. I couldn’t even tell you what the most to least sought after occupations in my city/state are.
Music @Fade is devalued because it is being experienced by the current generations (Y & Z) without the context our generation had for music e.g. physical record stores, music video shows, local scenes (if anyone here lived in places that had some).
Re: @DiFKiNCHi Chicano: Hola, Vato. Don't know if ya ever read it but your experience reminded me of what Joe Schloss in his "Making Beats" book said about the social context e.g. the aspect of learning from a neighbor, etc. with similar interests.
@LiveLargeBeats is a Logic Pro no pun intended so hit him up if/when ya have any issues plus @crog85 uses LP X & you ain't the only old head e.g. there is myself followed by @2GooD Productions @Dj Iceman @OneHipSista @MrPowerPositive Power @COOL J. @SYNTH GOD @MR BOOMBAP @123studio
I @DPrezd Beggar only mentioned development contracts as that was how labels decided whether or not to invest in an artist plus labels used to give artists several chances over the course of their careers.
