How do i make my samples sound thicker
A compressor can be useful for drums. I tend to compress my drum hits pretty much all the time. It's also a good idea to use EQ. If you hear any bass in the main sample, create two audio tracks. In the first track amplify the high ends, in the second track amplify the low ends (bass). That way...- DJ Excellence

Supposedly it was produced by J-Love who used to collab with Nas before Illmatic was released. I think J-Love recently released a compilation of his work with Nas. Others say it's a Preemo beat (which Premier decided to redo when he heard Pete Rock's contribution). Others say it's a Large Pro beat.- DJ Excellence

Blunt : I listened to the whole thing. All in all I liked the album = the beats are melodic and well-crafted. My only criticism is that the beats tend to be too similar.
