about 4k for a Mac once, I used it for years so I believe it was. I have spend a few g's on various guitars and amps and I think it was worth it as well. Why not use the internet to gather whatever samples you want and load them in the MPC, and not use the DGX for sounds at all? Do you have a computer that you can use for production? It may be cheaper to get your sounds that way.- thedreampolice
