youd be surprised how many labels accept stuff as simple as e-mail demos for beat makers. one's i'm currently in contact with are ubiquity and babygrande...all you do for babygrande is make a crackspace, (crackspace.com) and e-mail them the link. start e-mailing labels about being on...- Agent Smith

two schools of thought...some people like to run a hardware compressor or preamp into their interface...this warms the vocals up and regulates them as they come through...some people like to record it raw and maintain flexibility to be able to compress it afterwards. it's really up to you.- Agent Smith
