criticism over the years of making beats and doing hip-hop, i found out a lot of producers and artists, cant take critcism too good! criticism is one of the best things that u can hear! if u are always hearing - 'oh, that beat is hot or that flow is hot' - you are not really getting anywhere... -

rex's files in da nn-nxt
im using sound fogre 7.0 to chop samples then dump them in recycle and chop up the sample i mad from soundforge7.0 after that save file as rex.....open up reason, then open the nn-xt device.... at the top of the nn-xt there is a folder.....click on it!!! call up the rex file then click on... -

not a producer......... hmmmmm all that equipment and thats it. i use to make beats on the mpc using the mo-phat and a motf racks but now i use reason 3.0 with a radium midman keyboard. reason is of the meatrack!!!! I play everything live just like he did but in reason. I wish I new how to... -
Tips for making each beats sound different???
yeah i had that problem about 7yrs ago, change the temples, timesigniture, eq, effect, and if you can try to make beats buy always using differnt kicks,snares,hihat,ect. cuz sometimes i used the same snare on 5 different beats, as for the music start listening to more music even if you don't... -

look at pete rock, dre, rza there drumz are crazy!!!!! i read an article in the early 90's that dre sometimes takes days n weeks sometimes to find ththat right snare that fits........ rza always layer his snare and peterock too........ plus rza like that analog sound -

drumz i hate the fl drums there are wack! you have to have a good foundation, and it starts with the drums for me. if the drum lac energy and thickness then it really doesn't matter what sample you use. the snare to me is very important and it has to match the kick,highhat,ect you can't just...
