Sampling - Am I doing it wrong?

Filtering bass out of a sample - Is there a way?
I've chopped a sample and played it how I want it, but the bass is too high in the sample. Is there a way to filter out all, or at least lower, the bass in Reason? -
Akai MPK49 - Question
Just got my MPK49, liking it so far. At the minute I've only programmed it to do the very basics (rec on keyboard records in reason, play, stop etc.). Now I'm wondering how I program the pads so that it basically plays like an MPC, each pad plays part of the sample/loop. Any idea how to do it... -
Getting a west coast synth sound?
What would you guys say is the best way to get a West Coast synth sound on either FL or Ableton Live? Should I just look for a West Coast synth soundfont and tweak it slightly? Thanks fam. -
