I never used to entertain it when I was a kid as it was what parents listen to so I just deemed it likely 'some old shit'. Saying that, there was some old shit as a kid I did like. I always regret not realising or being able to appreciate the brilliance of some old music when I was a bambino. -

I mean like not Fade picking a moment. But just like, when you hear the beat it has to give you some kind of feeling of that film. As opposed to just some 5 second dialogue intro in front of a random beat.- Iron Keys

I think as a theme itself it'd be fine! Be good if part of the theme is you have to really convey the film or a part of it. Really capture a moment in beat form. As opposed to merely just sampling or whatever.- Iron Keys

Do I REALLY NEED an MPC?
You'll definitely appareciate having drum pads. I used my midi keyboard for years. Drum pads changed slightly the way i make drums. And how i use sample chops. Getting a keyboard dramatically changes how you make melodies and such. Getting a drumpad also adds a new dimension to how you play...
