    black star's album deserved 5..... i dont know what it got, but it isnt on that list. stillmatic was overhyped, i think. it got it on the strength of ether and the beef with jay...... and blueprint was a 4 to me, but it did have classics on it.... (song cry........nice thought for the hook)...

    well, people just like different stuff. thats all; it isnt because you are new to production at all. in fact, thats an overlooked point at times in production, simplicity. a lot of people enjoy more complex arrangements, i know i do, but ometimes the more you add it takes away from the vocalists...

    man great artists touch on more levels than just a freestyle, just the streets, just raw lyrics, just social awareness, just the clubs, just.... no one out right now embodies more than one or two things; what made pac and big great was the fatc that on ANY level, the would bring it- stories...

    dont really know.... my kids will be playin piano and drums (as long as its cool with them, aint tryin to force anything on em) from the get so i'm hoping they will be a little more choosy. i will limit certain things but for the most part its an open field...... whatever they like.

    50? great at what? mumbling? there really isnt an actual candidate for something like this. jay actually blew up after pac and big passed, so he really belongs to the current era as well..... i think that these greats have emboddied so much more in their music then what 50 or em or luda offer...

    Just got some drums from ebay..... i am pleasantly suprised.

    yeah i remember that one.... .this was well worth it. it sounds better than stylus if you ask me.... so lets see...$300 vs $20........ no contest, considering most of stylus's snares and hats have this annoying reverse scrape/reverb thing at the end- you will be hard pressed to find clean hits...

    yeah cakewalk and sonar are the cheapest out there in the higeher end market, and they are very good judging by what i have read so far. either that or try and find cubase vst on ebay, you can get that for dirt cheap these days.
