I dont understand ? the only reason you'd buy the 1k is because of the USB support and the flashdrive ...There's no ak.sys for the 1k so the difference between the 1k is minimal unless you want the rompler sounds. If I leave out the fx mumbo jumbo there's not much difference, the sampler isnt...- Formant024

I never use the nv slider anyway...I see it pretty simple, anything the mpc1k does I'll do or edit on the pc then record to mpc... all the fx etc, i dont bother for that, just want that sequencer to go pop on the midi outs.- Formant024

jealousy's a mutha&*# I attached a zipped xls file, it contains the note/number assignment of the mpc's pads and a few for different use of track/pad use. Good for reference and always handy when assigning samples while making kits or preparing live stuff.- Formant024

your opinion on a trade
it the sampler out the same series of engines used on the sp12/1200 with slight differences but the same converters. I bought a cheap s700 for that mpc60 sound ( imo has a bigger dirt factor ), I already have 2 mpcs so I honestly dont want another expensive sequencer if I can get the same sound...- Formant024

only when mastering but nobody here does mastering here so what's the point of all the make up, send up dry files to a mastering studio and let them do the magic. Good clean signals, an ear for eq's makes a mix easy.- Formant024
