strigns are always good for any type of beat. just make sure u stay in key. and dont make them too loud.. remember someone has to spit to it. also, HARD snares are good and dirty drumsamples -

like on just about every device (Even the nnxt but u gotta look for it) theres setting like: Notch HP12 BP12 LP etc.. click on those till u get a dirty sound. or play ur instrument, export that one insstrument. and sample it. u can apply a vst effect onto it outside of reason then load... -

they play fine for me. They are WAV files. so just lcick em and it should open in ur default media player. or just rightclick>>save as then open it from there.
