motif 6 eq/sounds/saving questions
2 things i can think that are wrong 1.Are u in multi mode on your motif??? THis the mode when your able to assign differnt sounds to differnt MIDI channels. To me it sounds like your in regular voice mode, In this mode you can only one voice at a time, and everything is on MIDI channel 1... -

What sequencer have you completely mastered???
Your right about the edting sounds part, the MPC 2000xl filters really arent that great for editing sounds. But im not to much of a sample head(yet) so its all good. I prefere to record, loop,filter in software and chop in hardware. Eventually i will upgrade to the 4000 casue it has those... -

Just curious, why dident u get the fantom XR rack and sequnce on the MPC???? that way u would have had the best of both worlds. ITs good to see your doing your thing though class..... FYI: I plan on getting the XR rack and i have heard nothing but good things!!!!! -

Where do you put your sample id's???/
What i do, is when im finished making the song, i save the data files and sounds to my computer for storgae. I create a folder just for that beat with all the MIDI and sound files. IF i have a sample, i create a notpad document a type the record name and song of the samples i used. That way i... -

Yea man u would definaly want to USE a program like cubase or protols to multi track. Cooledit is ment more for editing samples etc.. -
