Haha, ya I figured it was other diggers or people who volunteered to get first dibs, I did find some good stuff there in the past, like EPMD Headbanger 12" and some other shit like that. Guess it's just luck and persistance!

    Why is it ....

that whenever I find a good record at a thrift shop the sleeve is always empty? I found a James Brown record yesterday, but the sleeve was empty. This has happened a number of times in different shops in the past. So has anyone else had the empty sleeve problem? It's pretty aggrovating finding...

Paul C - Give The Drummer Some

Found a nice article about Paul C, a producer who was unfortunetly killed at the age of 24 in 1989. http://crunkster.abstractdynamics.org/archives/003807.html I highly recommend everyone take a look at it, just to get a general picture of his contributions to hiphop.

Dead Prez: greatest duo of all time?

hahaha, that's cool man. I agree though, Outkast and Mobb have been around for a long time, and seem to always pull in more fans after every album. Personally i dont listen to either anymore, but i can respect them for what they've accomplished.

How To Get Rid of The BuZzZ ?

Taken from http://www.mta.ca/pub/learn2dj/turntables.html "The reason that your turntables have a grounding wire is that an immense amount of static electricity is built up from the constantly rotating wire" So make sure your ground wire is connected to your mixer or amp.

How To Get Rid of The BuZzZ ?

Hmmm, what I'd do is put all the knobs/settings to default, check all your cables, make sure nothing is lose. Make sure your turntable is grounded properly as well. Ummm that's all I can think of now.

Yo all MPC/ASR owners please enter!

I can't say much for the MPC, since I don't own one, but I do own an ASR. Having it for over 4 years now, I can say that it took quite a while to really get the feel for the machine, but being patient was worth it. The sequencer may seem a bit unfriendly, but once you learn how to use event...
