    chopping up samples

Edison, slicex, and of course Recycle are the most user friendly ones that still have a lot of features imo. They all have those "hot keys for the lazy" , u just gotta spend some time with the manuals. But, also imo, get rid of that laziness and manually do your own chops.

Black Thought just made my top 10

With this. He was always a fave of mine, but if I had to put it to paper, I would have put him closer to 25 in the past. I see the error of my ways. Forgive me.

Here's mine, and trust me. I did sample the Major Harris track. What sounds like a guitar is that part that comes in at 12 seconds. http://soundcloud.com/sober-minded-music/callaloo-sobermindedmusic

@ActionFlav -- This is something I would want to write to, it's a banger and it's catchy. It's a hit. Let me know if u down. @ djfeedme- Nice. Sounds similar to the one I made for this sample so much, that I'm re doing mine. The instruments are ok, but it's the groove that stands out. Good job...

A Study of Overlooked Hip Hop Classics pt 1

His first album " The Great Adventures of Slick Rick" is widely considered a classic. His second album, " The Ruler's Back" , didn't get the attention his first did, for a myriad of reasons, one being the arrival of gangsta rap . Still, I contend that is a lesson in loops, breakbeats and...

    Showcase - March 12-14, 2012

LP got some ill choppin goin on New Day. The chops is mid-90s RZA, but the drums is more Preme. Even more so on Lone Gun. Those vocals are killin it. Just heard the JustRipe beat on monitors, I like it even more.

Nice beat JustRipe. Classic mid 90s hip hop. I like the inter play between the strings and (keys?). Let's stick with the Canibus theme. http://soundcloud.com/sober-minded-music/all-hail-sobermindedmusic

Great post. Been wanting a plug-in that does that. Is that method of sequencing the sample sequencing your favorite way of doing it? Do u ever use slicex, fpc, etc., to sequence the sample ?
