Crazy. I'm still using Adobe Audition (cool edit pro) version 1.0 which looks just like Cool Edit Pro, then they started to change things up. But - the shit just works.

I was never a big fan of MF Doom but I always liked the beats and how he would take parts of a sample you wouldn't expect. Somehow he made it work. But I always remembered him as Zev Love X and KMD. That Peachfuzz track lol.

The first year I think it was, we were using realplayer files for Beat This. Years later I converted them to mp3. It was a good format at the time but compared to today just awful audio quality.
MP3 is much more common and reliable within the browser, plus the HTML player doesn't support FLAC.
Hey at least it's not Real Player files (.rm remember those?!?) from 20 years ago!
