you tried out another windows version? could be a faulty copy with missing files. get a better copy of xp or whatever youre using. sometimes faulty ram can cause crashes. connect your hd to another computer, backup your files, format and reinstall with a different os. when problems still occur...- mono

How long does it take?
as long as it takes. 4-6 a week. usually the beats i finish in one session are the best ones. but sometimes, you know, takes longer to find the right sounds to fit. i tend to not overdo them, if the basic loop is tight, mcees will feel it and write to it straight away. you can then do... -

What gear changed your production style or sound?
i second that. not the 2500, but use of pads in general has increased my output immensely. playing with samples like a drummer, instead of placing them in a sequencer, makes me accomplish things i would not have dreamed of before. should have gone to pads ages ago. i feel a little like those... -
