Finally got it to work. The problem was with the soundcard, it wasn't installed right. But after re installing it a couple more times, it works. Thanks a ton eldiablo! -

No, a lot of people sample off of vinyl. But many people sample off of both. I personally don't own a pair of Technics yet (financial reasons), so I sample off of sample cds/sites. Whatever works, I just enjoy making beats however I can. I know sampling off of vinyl is definitely the best... -

Copyright laws piss me off. I can see that the artists that get sampled should get their just dues and royalities, but hip hop was/is based off of sampling. This video brings up many great points on why sampling is alright. Thanks for posting dude. -

EPMD also sampled that song too. But as others have already said, just sample whatever you want and don't worry about others flipping it. I know its hard to avoid thinking that someone else made a similar beat, but forget about others sampling the same music. -
