I got a feeling it'll change my life too. For some reason I feel the stories he prints are as inspiring as they are meaningful, and shit, I only just got past the first 3 chapters!
Anybody read this book? I remember seeing a topic last week that someone mentioned it in, so I copped it off Amazon. Just finished the first section (Don't criticise, condemn or complain/Give honest and sincere appreciation/Arouse in the other person an eager want).
Has this book helped any...
Save up and get an MPK49. That's what I did and I don't regret it at all. The only problem with it is 12 pads instead of 16, that's why I'm going to get an MPD24 too.
Exactly my mindstate.
My advice would be to improve that 'basic knowledge' and learn the DAW inside out, cutting down the time on your work. I'm beginning to do this with Reason 4 (if you want to get into Reason I can upload a copy of it for you). Don't get disheartened with it all either.

Thanks for the advice. I think maybe I should watch a few videos of other producers in action too to try and gather thoughts about others' creative processes.
Last month my net was gone for a long ass time and I had no good way of obtaining samples. I don't own a turntable (yet) and all the CD's I bought to dig on sucked. Basically, I ended up having a month long break from it all. Now I've moved out into my own place, got my shit sorted out and I can...
This is a new UK hip hop group, I only heard of them yesterday and only heard this song, but it's a dope track. Let me know what you lot think...
