The people that will buy this CD will most likely be the same people buying the Dusty Fingers records. For young starting producers who think they can make 50k on a track their first time out this is a dream. I will admit I have probably two Dusty Fingers records and they are great for sampling...
Probably a dumb question but oh well. The track "Pump It Up" - Joe Budden (produced by Just Blaze), uses a distinct sample in it. Just wonderin where the sample is from i.e. Original Artist, Track, etc. Thanks in advance.
thats really what it comes down to after you have a track ready. Just lay the accapella over the beat without editing it. Find out what part of it becomes out of sync and cut and paste it to make it match. Find out where your chorus and verses are and work from there too. What I usually do is...

really only need a mixer for recording audio and giving the track it's "warmth" or "dirty" sound. If you do get a mixer it would just be routed like this:
computer --> mixer --> computer
its also a good excuse to get some good monitors for your setup.
