@Iron Keys, I’ll check them out further. Every single beat I’ve made has been all done on an Mpc with Dre beats headphones. (Perhaps that needs a change up)
Got ROKIT 5’s but can’t use them in current situation so if there are headphones that can almost mimic a studio then I’m all up for those!
@2GooD Productions, ‘like women’s make up’ - agreed on that piece of Knowledge!
Less is more sometimes and I have had beats I’m happy with then start fucking about with this plug-in that plug-in thinking I’m improving it when it suddenly sounds nothing like what I was previously happy with...
Feel you man, I’m like that, kids in bed, home from work, late night producing. Think I’ll get around to some new headphones soon. Just checked out @VVS and @Iron Keys recommendations, little more research before I commit.
Yeah I hear that with the bassline could definitely be more prominent in the mix. Thanks for the feedback @Delta_Nine and glad I’m making good progress since you last listened, many thanks.
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah could have done with a drum change up after the ‘chorus’. I did intend for the beat to have urgency for the action of the series.
Thanks for pointing out the repetitiveness as it’s so important to keep the listener interested, need to keep that in mind more often.
Yeah man I love the Mpc workflow and do everything in the box, that’s just me and my preference. Love hitting / playing pads, drums, melody’s. Haven’t touched any keys in ages since I prefer playing the pads.
Although if had enough spare cash floating about I might be tempted to get that Mpc...
Nice production, love the choir vocals in this! Whatever that is that sounds like a giant whip cracking is a nice addition but could do with being dropped out and returning later or not at all. Just heavily throughout the beat and becomes a bit much.
I like the concept but feel the starting vocals don’t quite resonate with the melody. Really like the piano sequence. Perhaps the choir was overdone and in need of a change up to further the beat creatively.
Gorillaz vibe all over this! Dope sounds.
Sounds like there is an actual drum kit right next to me, those drums are sick!
Got Gorillaz in my head now, gritty and grimey beat.
Nice one trying something new. Playful and fun vibe man. Can see you enjoyed putting this together.
I feel the drums are a little distant and could do with a tweak to better compliment the beat and vocals.
Good stuff, keep creating.
I like the overall beat and what ever those sounds are you’ve added. I can hear the vibe fitting the name ‘OUTCRY’. Some samples sound familiar to some of my own recent stuff. Love the vibe to this, nice work!
