    In the gate effect tutorial it uses a Fruity Peak Controller. You said about the khz range which Fruity Peak Controller should do for you. If it's still not what you're after then you should check out something like GateFX or similiar.

    Fruity comes with a "gate effect" tutorial. On my end it's in c:\Program Files\Image-Line\FL Studio 6\Data\Projects\Tutorial\Gate effect.flp This tutorial has been part of FL since about FL 3.

    6 all the way for me and I've been using FL since 2.7x. One thing that irks me is how ImageLine talked about Dynamic Loops plugin being part of 6 yet it never was included or even talked about ever again :(

    Go with a Novation ReMOTE if you can. The LE versions are cheap now. You can get the 49 version for like $200 and I only paid $340 for my ReMOTE 49 full edition.
