I think I’m gonna ditch my mpc 2500 for Koala

Its all about ease of workflow for me. I find having to mess around engineering sounds is like a tangent that distracts from my creativity, hindering progress.

Soul Flutes - "Trust in Me"

Really dope sample, been waiting all day to get started on this one. @TWU Really nice flip, I dont usually listen to anybody's flip until I've done mine, but I just broke that rule. This will be my first beat on Cubase 13

Stop using reverb on your snare.

I always cut off below 500hz on my reverbs and above 9khz, this way if I ever did have reverb on the kick then it only affects midrange upto 9khz. This alone makes reverb more transparent and it doeant muddy up the low end

Stop using reverb on your snare.

I rarely send my kick to the reverb and never send my drum bus to a reverb, I always do sends on my snares, percussion and hi hats seperately, then return my drum reverh back to the drum bus for bus processing as a whole..

    New beats in progress

Falling: Really like the intro, love the sound choices. The drop felt a little underwhelming to me, I feel it needs some more energy, either in the form of a hi hat triplet pattern, some fills, or another synth layer. Just a little something to add some excitement to the beat once it drops. Its...

DJ Premier ft. COMMON - In Moe (Speculation)

They both have their own very unique styles, both are musical geniuses, both have great backcatalogues, I cant choose between them.

Are you sober when making beats?

    Bass

Yeah I love the tone of the P1A, like you say its magical. A must have. The waves one with the gain on it also allows you to get your master bus level in the right ballpark without having to gain stage everything first, I could use a standardclip pro for that also though.

    Bass

I use the EQp1a as standard as the first plugin on the Master Bus(20 or 30hz). Also as the first plugin on my drum bus(60hz or 100hz). I really like how it makes my high end sound, as well as the fairchild trick, using both attenuation and boost on the bass.

    Nosferatu - "Beautifully Depraved"

Listening on phone so cant really hear bass, but I fux with those drums. Love the classic sample, takea me back to being a kid watching Hammer Horror movies. That bass is actually translating on my phone tbh.
