    Don't know about DINR, but I use a plugin that can actually "learn" the noise and then filter it out. Bias Soundsoap. Dunno if it works in PT but it does work standalone. I don't use it to take out the clicks and pops though because it makes the sample sound dull. What I normally do for that...

    Every once in a while I do a dud, and that gets deleted immediately. But normally, I'll know whether the beat is that wack when I'm making it so I just dont save it.

    The MPC 1K OS version 2 has an autoslice function. Learn how to use that. Pitch the sample up, then slice it, and rearrange it. Then you're not limited to the original tempo.

    Here is a spreadsheet I put together so I could track my catalog. Another thing I do is in iTunes, I have a playlist with all my beats in it. That way, whenever I want to throw a beat CD together, its a snap cuz I can just fire up iTunes.

    Nah because I'm transferring the sounds digital. I got the spdif from the EMU soundcard running into the mac soundcard. You don't lose no sound quality that way.

    I use a Mac with Logic 7. I also have a PC with the Proteus X and some other plugins. When I run the Proteus, I can put the MIDI in Logic, and send it over to the PC, then I just pipe the sound back to the Mac and into logic over Digital SPDIF.
