    they are very different program. I use both of them simultaneouly via rewire. I use the best of both world. Sequencing in reason2 and mixing,vocal,fx(vst) in cubase sx.

    imacs are g3.... I would suggest if you are ready to pay for a desktop G4, get a ibook. If you got to make music on the move sometimes a desktop computer is really a pain in the ass.

    Anyway, if your computer sur only doing midi stuf (because you would have a sampler), you can get a G3. If you go all software it's another thing tho.

    Maybe the laws are different on that in the us, but here in Canada you can copyright any music or piece of art. In fact, you have the right to put "© 2003 your name" on your music even if you don't register your music at a legal place.

    I use alot of samples but I change them alot. I use synth tho. One way or another, I don't compose a song to canibalize it after.
