Mastering Tips For Do-It-Yourselfers
I dont technically master, I just try to push the mix as much as I can. But corrective (Should be subtractive aka minute cuts when mastering) Eq should come before your Compression, then everything else. You take away freqs you dont need compress, then eq, comp, or what ever else you want to do...- UNORTHODOX

When you say different, you mean it seperates its self from everything else? or it just sounds different? Agreed, Lasting power may be the biggest component. lol all life ends at 12am the day after you're 24th birthday, you aint know?? Yup, look at Jay, his subject material had to change with his age. Buying Albs and Merch is way more important than what net hype gets you (Downloads/views/blogs. Most people arent dropping dollars. Salute to you for that). Ok I can see that. Idk what the view/pay out ratio for the youtube partnership is. Has to be pennys though (I know adsense isnt much either). Idk if currency is the right word. But, recognition is make or break type important. They may not get another high visibility placement because of it but they couldve made alot more if Mac gave'em that space. Slightly off topic side note: View counts are the most overrated gauge of impact...- UNORTHODOX
