tempo vs bpm
what's the difference? if my tempo is at 80 than is that a bpm of 80? is it the same thing. is there a way to tell the tempo of a bpm. -

how do you go about...
taking a sample from a dvd or movie ? I use a pc that can play dvds but how can you take the music from the background and use it in a beat chopping program like audition or soundforge? -

pitch shifting issue
go to effects tab and look for time/pitch and click on it. when the menu comes up hit stretch option and then a box will appear with this slide thing that will change your tempo. look to the lower left corner and click the option that says pitch shift( perserves tempo) and do what you do. hopr... -

Is there a way to make the sample chops play less choppy. It sounds to choppy when i rearange the sample pieces. I watch the tutorial from knoxraw and it helped alittle. i just think that using the slicer is making my samples sound to choppy. need a little help.......thanks -

I would change the name because Fruity Loops is what gives the program a bad name, people hear the name and think only gay people use that shit. They need to do like cool edit to adobe audition or something. Software called fruity loops will never be respected by true hip hop heads that a fact... -
just went to gutair center today?
I was messing with the mpc 1000 and I like it, mostly my production is software based but I think I wanna get one soon. Is it easy to incorporate into my set up. FL and Adobe. Also is the mpc easy to use or I'm I just better off buying a midi controller or an mpd-16. need some advice.
