i have the 2000xl and it has a button right by the volume that says 16 levels, you press, that the screen comes up and you pick wether you want velocity or note change and tap the pad you want to use, press do it and its done. im not sure about the pitch distoration question but try it and see.

    Melodies On The Mpc

yes. you can also put a sample 16 levels so there would be different pitches/octaves of it on the pads or spread the samples through all the 64 pads but i would only use this on hits not a loop.

    makin cd's

to record your beat you would hook up you audio outputs from your asr to the input in the computer's soundcard (most likely a 1/4" to 1/8" cable should do the trick) and record it into soundforge, cool edit or whatever program you might deem good for your setup. cool edit is pretty good and easy...

    makin cd's

you have to first record it as an audio file (wav., mp3.) then you can burn it. you can download a demo of soundforge from sonicfoundry.com and record your beat in there then burn it, theres a lot of programs you can use to record your audio into.

Correct Rapping \ How To Flow On Beat

i think you gotta learn how to flow first, i had a lot of people who told me they can rap but when i put a beat up they sounding all off and shit. if you can flow you can make wack lyrics sound hot but if you cant, then you can make hot lyrics sound horrible.

how many of your beats do you actually like?

i say i like about 75% of my beats, most of them get deleted by the end of the night when my mpc is getting shut down and i will only save the ones i think got potential.

Midi Keyboard Track Onto A Mpc2000xl Sequence?

wu you make ish more complicated than it is.... what if the keyboard is strictly midi and has no outputs then it would just be a controller. inconeeto said his keyboard had 500 sounds so it must have audio outputs, he just needs a mixer to combine the mpc and the keyboard so everything...

Midi Keyboard Track Onto A Mpc2000xl Sequence?

you WONT hear the sounds out of the mpc. You can sequence whatever and record the data in the mpc so when you press play on it the keyboard will play it along with the drums and whatever samples you got sequenced in the mpc. if you dont have a mixer youll need one to combine both sound...

    Eminem' Production

that renegade beat that he supposedly gave jay was from a song he did with royce da 5'9 a minute ago way before the blueprint. there was also an article about a guy in detroit who really produced it but em jerked his ass like most big people in the biz do. he can rap his ass off but i aint so...

    mpc's

the same way u have a software sequencer, the mpc is a hardware one. the mpc would control your synths and you would just hook up the audio outs into a mixer or your soundcard to record a track into your computer. no interface, the mpc is the interface unless you want the computer to be the...

    mpc's

to lay down a synth you just need a midi cable going in from the mpc to the module and you can lay out whatever you want, the mpc is a sequencer so it will record the midi data you entered and the synth will play it when the mpc tells it to.
