The last mix magazine has an article focusing on Hip Hop producers. It's crazy cause all the producers were saying that most artists they work with have a room full of people writing their shit for them. Verses, choruses, even ad libs.
In terms of Dre he has stated multiple times he doesn't...
It's pretty dumb to not clear a sample on a project as big as The Game's first album. There's a couple law firms that are buying the rights to music for the sole purpose of being able to turn around and so artists for sampling.
I'm looking at the bright side. The current state of things has motivated to learn music theory and chord piano.
I also really chop any samples I do use. Instead of looking for ill loops, I'm looking for small sections that include a combination of different instruments. If I take those...

I really liked this e.p. I downloaded it last night and listened to it. It's a great combination of dusty samples and a clean crisp mix.
I wish I could make my joints sound that good.
Props.
I love hardware too.
If money had not been a factor in my setup I would've done without software.
But I already had a computer so after much research I realized it would be cheaper to just make some upgrades and get fl studio ($100).
I used to be one that thought fl studio was a toy...
Yes I use a midi controller. radium 49e.
No problems.
As with any software you need to make sure your computer fits the minimum system requirements, and if you got multiple vst's 2gb of ram will do you well.
I have my same set up at my mother in laws crib (spend a lot of time there...
