midi question
You should try going to the bottom of the main screen on the mpc where it says drum program A...turn the knob and midi chanels pop up.....exactly change drum probram to midi, then push the cursor right once > turn knob and midi will chanel 1a will show it goes up to 16 a and after 16a it starts...- inrctyhoodmusic

what did u start producing with?
Akai s -900 with a brken fan before I had any money I would only make beats in the winter..sit it by the window so the cold air wouldn't let it over heat ...I used a casio rz-1 as a midi control and then I got a small cheap fan from th 99 cent store and sat it on top of the vent so it wouldn't...- inrctyhoodmusic

You don't have the manual?It's been a while since i used it but you just have to find the in on the back to sample if you don't have an 8 out board it sould be real easy to find and push on some buttons on the machine to find out how to trigger the sampler or just go to the ensoniq web site and...- inrctyhoodmusic

The sequencer sucks and it takes too long to load samples....It can do whatever the mpc2kxl can do but it can't do as well or better than the 2kxl....Sampler on it is better you can chop 10x's better than the mpc but the sequencer breaks up- inrctyhoodmusic
