    I did a project like that afew years ago, I found that an engineer working for a med size studio, can make $500 a day, nice hey ? I also found out that an average working day for an engineer is 12-14 hours.

    The best site to find original samples are ones that tell u your local garage sales, opp shops and record collection stores, you'd get further there then searching on the net.

    Ive had my stereo hooked up though the AV out put's and into my sub woofer then from the sub to the computer its a sure method coz theres two volume controls, and most of the bass goes to were it belongs.

    I never throw away even the most annoying sample,I sort my samples in monthly folders, so at the end of the month I can see how productive I was,at the end of the year sort the wack from the ill, its like a libary & a time line of my skillz !!

    what about BEING sampled?

    I wasn't takeing away anything from playing a keyboard using sampled instruments, I my self switch between the two, if i want a cleaner commerical sounding track I'll compose it fully, if i want a raw/underground track I'll stick with sampling, either way im sampling or playing sampled...
