    So I've run the memory test, nothing happened. It started up, ran for 15 minutes, and then shutdown. I didn't see any red, so I'm guessing it passed.     You make some good points. I think I might try Pads, if I get a chance. I have other stuff to do first, (My RAM issue for starters) but if I ever get around to it, could you recommend a good controller? I'd rather something with good pads that don't need to be replaced, but costs less than 200.

    I don't understand why people use Pad Controllers..Whats the point? It looks like a really awkward process to me. I tried doing my drums with a keyboard, but its so much easier to just use the piano roll/step sequencer.

    It depends. Do you listen to them? Do you use them? Will your kids use them? By keeping them are you depriving someone else of the music they could be enjoying? If they just sit there..either USE THEM, or sell them. If money is more use to you, get it!
