    I have used reason v1 and every version of fruity since 2.7 and i have stuck with fruity thru it all. reason was definitly dope but the interface didnt really spark my creativity. the only other problem i had with reason was solved via rewire but anyways. fl studio can do all the same shit...

    Ahhhhhhhhh!

    i always compress everything. but most of the time you would never know. i think light compression on a layered drum along with matchin envelopes makes a layered kick sound much better and much more natural then if you only layer them and thats all. to me there is a line bewteen sounds layered...

    the thing about mixing and compression and eq and all that is everybody will give a different answer. so just search google for diff shit and then try out all the different things they say and thru all of them you'll find what you like and dislike and eventually your own mixing style will develop.
