Brightening your mix
use a multiband compressor... filterbank makes one i use called the mc4000 giving you 4 band 2 compress and adjust.. and a l2.. if your mixing a coming out muddy that means many your having frequencies clashing around 220hz-30hz.. try 2 eq so the bassline and kick have there own frequency... -

has your track made the album if so thats when you register 2 bmi.. when you know its making it the album.. you send them the track aswell ans the percentage.. if you didnt sample.. and the artist wrote the lyrics all of them 50/50 if you wrote the hook i would say its 75/25.. jus call... -
