I would try a plugin like RBass or MaxxBass on your kicks. It will add some thump to your kicks if you tweak em right. -
Clarity in Vocals?
Your Preamp, Compressor, and Converters are gonna be just as important as the Mic to get that sound. -

Laying out samples onto keys in FL Studio?
Fl slicer is pretty simple to use and lays the sample across the keys for you if you have a midi controller. You shouldn't put the whole song in fl slicer though it works best with smaller sections of the song. -

Yup it's all about checking your mixes. Most studios will have a set that are their primary monitors to mix on and everything else is for A/B like Da IllFellaz said. -
