    i'm not as concerned with duplicating the tracks as much as i am with the zone i was in when i did them. i know i had a lot more lady friends back then. maybe that has something to do with it. :lick:

    I feel yall about finding your style. I have been at a creative low lately. I have been putting together cookie cutter tracks just to sell. I listen to some of my old beat tapes done on a DR 202 and realized they are waaay better than most of the stuff i'm doing now. So I guess that's my low point.

    MPCs cost waay too much for what they do IMO. I think software is waaay cheaper and more waaay more powerful. I don't know what all is in ur set up, all u mentioned was reason, but I'd take that money and get an MPD-16, recycle and an Mbox or 001 or something and have a complete functional...

    I used the MPC slider from time to time for effects but I haven't found a use for the MPD slider yet.
