I use Kontakt to play my chops if I chopped up alot of different sequences of a song(5-10 .wav files), otherwise I use FL Slicer(1-4 .wav files). Since Kontakt loads pretty slow on my computer. -

He's not asking how to find the BPM though. Daymo mentioned Nas rhyme-pattern to be easier than Jay-Z's...check out MC's like Kool G Rap. He'll hit every kick and snare! -

I name all my beats "untitledXXX" it works pretty okay. if i'd name them any other way i'd name them like so: DATE - the sample I used... ie. if I used Isley Brothers - Between the sheets, I'd call it 3Jul05 - Isley Between The Sheets -
