    @fashionvictimct That's cool. I was born and raised in the Montville/Norwich/New London area. @River Cruz I dig the chilled out beats. The cool thing is about those is that everyone would enjoy it - not just the hiphop crowd. Very soulful!

    That is one thing I am working on, layering more kicks and snares within my regular drum patterns. It adds more of a Dilla sound to it, IMO.

    I agree on that although I couldn't get a good sounding one when I experimented. I am not a huge fan of baselines, but I do understand their importance in hiphop. They are kind of deceiving, but when you hear them, you understand how much of an integral part they are.

    @tomkillsjerry I am a big El-P fan as well. I like his early Company Flow stuff more than anything else, although he was dope on the Run the Jewels album too.

    @Mach Keys I would consider giving beats away for free to some well known artists. Isn't it a good idea to get some pub for yourself? I am sure that many artists are approached regularly and have the ability to have producers select them instead of the other way around.
