    sitting here with Face Eastwood.... and we both agree that we like where you're going with this track but the sample that you have in there needs to be cut or truncated right. it's making the beat sound off tempo.

    If you're gonna go with the 200 ti 250 price range, I'd say you should try a Rode Nt1a. The warm sound you get from it is crazy for the price point.

    Which DAW do you use?

    I currently use Reason 7 with a few extra bought sound modules. Its the most user friendly DAW that I have tried since I stopped limiting myself to workstations like the Korg Triton and Ensoniq EPS.
