    Better late then never...My introduction.

Sorry I wasn’t clear on that. I still play the guitar quite freaquently, have 4 of them. Also one bass guitar I like to tool around on. What I meant to say was I don’t compose original songs for myself to play and sing live anymore. I only use my guitar and piano to add to my beats these days or...

    Greetings fellow music enthusiasts!

Great introduction man. Sorry to hear of your struggles. I can relate a lot to the self destructive tendencies that once plagued my life and my relationships. Diamonds are only made after extreme pressure and great things can come after the worst of circumstances. I wish you a successful journey.

    Better late then never...My introduction.

Hey everyone. Joined a month or two ago and forgot to introduce myself. My name is Chris Beaupre (hard one to pronounce, I know. Its like Bow-Pray) or Beau Beats. I have messed around with making beats since I was about 12 years old. I am 32 now. I have not made beats that entire time...

Industry A Guide to Selling Your Beats the Right Way

There are definitely too many people doing it for the money these days. Thats all the rappers talk about and everyone wants that payday. It is an unrealistic approach in my opinion. The passion for creating has to be the drive, not the payday. If it is all about the money you will usually give...

Industry A Guide to Selling Your Beats the Right Way

Great article. A lot to think about for me for sure. I started a service company a few years back. I had twelve years experience in my field at the time and held the highest license for the trade. I charged people a lot of money for my services and I would explain why when they questioned the...

Production Stick With What You Know And Make Better Beats

Absolutely the truth. I use to make beats for a local studio when I was about 17-19. All the artist and other producers would ask my about my setup and wonder what I used. All I had at the time was a little laptop. No midi controller, no expensive gear what so ever. Not even a single VST or...

    Showcase - March 25-31, 2019

Sounds pretty solid. At the one minute mark, if it were me, I would pull the vocals out of center just a little more to fill in space on the outside. Maybe even just for the end of the bars. Maybe a little louder there too. Overall it sounds good.

I think there is plenty of room for a rapper, and probably doesn't need much else in the verses. Maybe bring that intro melody back for the chorus. It has a great energy to it. I can hear someone going bananas on it.

    Beat This! - March 27-28, 2019

I had a lot of fun making this one. Any size limitations on the mp3? trying to get the best possible version of it rendered so you don't have to convert it.

    Production Production Junction

Well said. I couldn't agree more with all your points. To be a music producer you must learn a lot more than the average beat maker. A lot of the kids today do not desire to work hard to accomplish their dreams. They simply want the rewards, money and clout with little to no effort. I am part...

@Matt-D great instrumental. I like the sound selections and progressions of the track. @tommetass i like your drum selections. A little alteration on the arrangement, as you mentioned wouldn't hurt. I think the melody is a bit loud in the mix, overpowering the drums a bit, but thats just my...

Industry Why Is Sampling Allowed For Some Samples And Not Others?

I rarely sample anything today because of all the automated systems designed to sniff out samples. Clearing a sample is time consuming and costly too. I think the reason it was done so much back in the day was because hip hop wasn't the most popular genre in the world. It was easy to get away...

    Showcase - March 18-24, 2019

I just started making beats again after about a ten year break. Learned some instruments, some theory and once FL Studio came out with the mac native version I bought it for nostalgic reasons at first. Fell madly in love with it again and I'm trying to improve daily. I haven't done much on this...

@Klypse Thats a dope boombab vibe. A little longer and you got a nice classic beat @tomkillsjerry that is a wild one for sure. crazy change up but it's cool. @MickMain love that intro. The whole beat is good. very old school, brings me back to the 90's @Reddix its not bad. the sound...
