Production 20 of the Most Influential Hip Hop Producers of All Time

Solid list, can't argue with anyone on that list. I like opinion pieces because it let's me explore shit I normally wouldn't. My list would be different, but I don't care.

how do you feel about sampling mp3s?

I gravitate between both mediums these days, some vinyl I just can't afford.... not with the ridiculous price of some records these days.

    DJ Krush - Mu Getsu

Krush is in my top 5 of all time. He never fell off, always did his own thing, and each time sounding fresh. Guy is 50 years old and still puts out quality music.

How do you normally start your beats?

Well, I might listen to records beforehand, but I like to lay out something simple drum wise to get an approximation, then mix up the sample and adjust the drum pattern afterwards.

How do you normally start your beats?

    Drums, always drums.

What music player do you use on your desktop?

Daum Potplayer. Flexible, updated frequently, and low impact on processes. Lots of settings to mess with. I used everything under the sun. Winamp was the shit for most of my internet life, but decided to try something else, and Potplayer fit the bill pretty well.

Nice article about the vinyl LP frenzy

Ya, there's always been dubplate cutters, and things like that, which are great for individual efforts. Still I am curious to see if they improve on existing technology. I guess we'll see what happens.
