Spotify royalties... the ugly truth.
There's no way of getting "streaming fees" on your own website because like @Iron Keys said you'd have to be setup to have rights and fees with that, etc. Or maybe one of these streaming sites has an API you can use on your own website that allows you to embed your beats on your own site, then...- Fade

All this picture is missing is a plate of bacon and an American flag! But seriously, that's dope. The One does look like a great workflow from what I've seen. If I ever want something new I'd go with that. As for the build quality, I get that feeling with most new gear that I've touched. -

Well the thing is - artists that have a loyal following (could be 10 people or 1000) can sell directly with sites like Bandcamp but that's a crapshoot since that means the artist is relying on fans to support them out of loyalty/kindness. In theory, Spotify should be the ideal place for artists...- Fade

It's crazy because look at how some guys did it way back - pressed up their tapes or CDs and sold it on the street. Let's say $10 a pop x 1000 sold = $10,000 in your pocket minus a small amount for the pressing. This is why the streaming subscription model never made sense to me. You signup for...- Fade

I thought this was already posted here? But yeah, the streaming payouts are ridiculous and the same goes for ads like on Google. At the beginning they paid out more but now it's a fraction of a penny and not worth it. As for Snoop, if that's all he's getting then there's no hope for the little...- Fade

I looked into Python and it looks really good but I'm more drawn to Go, so I'm preparing to start studying it soon. Rust also looks good. There's so many languages out there now that it can be hard to decide though. This guy does a great job of explaining Go:- Fade
