I do the same thing...brainworx recommends up to 4db of gain reduction when using their bx_XL Limiter but 3 sounds better to me in most cases. As for compressing, I luv this puppy right here...adjustable frequency/multiband compression...hit what you want to hit and leave the rest untouched... -

Joe Gilder is a professional recording engineer and I like his philosophy a lot...it just makes sense to me... What dp said is also true, if you eq before you compress and change your eq...you've also changed how your compressor will react...BUT thats only if you don't go back and make... -

That would be a very honorable thing to do, I'm just not into the idea of marketing someone elses stuff. I could see how that could possibly cause more problems than good. Besides, his family has the files now and they can do it right vs anyone else releasing his stuff without their blessings on it. -
