Salute to @Primz , good shit man.
My vote went to @K-waz but it was definitely difficult. Quite a few came with it. Shoutout to @SwayeeBoogie @Mike Free Music and @TWU
I'd still be up for this though..would definitely be a way to expose everyone to more ears. I see different beat collectives arouund here and there, and honestly I think it would be dope if we had our own here. Theres some pretty solid peeps we got in each respective direction of beat making...
@Fyyn3stSymphoni -I can dig the direction, however its too much goin on for my tastes. The samples are clashing quite a bit, in flow and in frequency. Too many thoughts at once imo but keep going.
@Delta_Nine -Shit is clean, and definitely dig the vocal samples in it. Drums are hitting clean...
Facts....
Thinking upon it more - deep web is really where that nostalgic feeling would come back. Only issue is the hoops you gotta jump through in this day and age now to protect yourself.
I feel you on that. Shit, Im not even secretive about it. Twas a whole different game then.
But, I will say that the late 90's early 2000's (of course Im biased) was just a fuckin magical time. For those who really werent in a position to find gear or even really know where to start, could...
Been feeling this way for awhile too. I mean as far as the theory goes, I believe that it is more accurate than not. And real shit, ILL is one of the last imo that still has that same feel as back then when us more tech saavy peeps were finding/creating communities online. Its so watered down...
Yo, seeing that shit in person is fucking beautiful. These pictures barely do it justice. But yeah, they are steady trying to keep the peoples out, but you know graff heads. Where theres a will theres a way. They've still been gettin up.
Truth, was thinking the same. Theres actually a small fragment of them left on an original forum..I wonder if maybe some of the people running the old site hopped over. Regardless, I definitely needed this. Ive been finding it difficult to discover quality new artists.
I really dont think this board romanticizes 90's era. Look at the battles....
90's was full of quality for rap. The explosion of underground MC's and producers during the late 90's and early 2000's was majority quality shit. I mean fuck, we had legitimate artists on the RADIO during the 90's...
Whats your go-to when creating? Do you prefer analog? What type of plug ins are clutch ones for you?
Also, whats your process in coming up with a bass?
Just curious on what everyones flavours are...
Man, salute to all the people who dropped. Congrats @Da Archangels, that was a solid flip.
So pissed I didnt plan better for this one...welp, just have to drop it in showcase. But once again, everyone came with some fuckin fire. Such a fun sample.
Hmm. I think time and patience would be most key in this issue. Just curious, how long have you been selling these with your current state of marketing?
And, to piggy back off of previous comments, who really is your target audience? Many different genres sample....
There seems to be some sort...
