I chopped a lot, but left a lot of the sample untouched. Made about 3 versions before settling on the one I did.

I can't imagine wtf trap producers or even sometimes boom bap producers are thinking when they put soft snares on a hip hop beat... Even on a soft beat like xplosive, dre's snare kinda knocks.
