The
@Armani American dream is imo a farce at best when/if you consider systemic racism. This isn't to say that people of any race can't achieve their dreams but there are visible hurdles to whatever they are. I don't solely see racism as a reason why those who are Black like me can't achieve their dream(s), but the question should always be for all people "what dream(s) and at what cost(s)?"
As I age I feel the true American dream should be what MLK spoke of but there are forces actively working to dismantle his progress, or should I say illusion of inclusion. If inclusion was truly real, Black people wouldn't be having to still fight to be treated like human beings w/dreams, desires, emotions, etc. and not being seen as savages or any other dehumanizing term(s) that people of any race can be.
