why do artists waste good beats on pointless skits?

i ust listened to the instrumental for "pause for porno" on chronic 2001, and along with whats the difference, it is the best beat on the album. but on the actual album it has the stupid porn skit and to me its just a waste....... i have noticed other tracks like this where the beat is nice and it last for maybe 30 seconds as an interlude, or throw some stupid skit over the top.....

anyone else notice this or see it this way? why not play the whole instrumental, instead of a 30 second teaser (the guitar track from hi teks album comes to mind here)?

ive vowed to buy every wasted L.E.S track used for a backdrop for Jungle to scream about how real Queensbridge is and how many slugs hell throw at me...lol, that boy is crazy.

In regards to recent releases, that's the way I feel about the intro on Snoop's album, you know "...the boss would like to see ya..."...I think that's a dope beat and could have been a dope song.

i know what your saying, but the producers probably just had the skit beats lying around or something and didnt think they would suit any of the songs. one mans garbage is another mans treasure

maybe thats not the reason though...i dunno

I think that the artist can't handle the beat and make a song that makes sense and is worth listening to

Skits are cool with me and I too have said..." they should have used the beat in the skit rather than the one they used in the song following it". I'm guessing that it's just a matter of what the artist prefers and what we prefer. Alot of peeps don't like skits at all and even I sometimes don't like them but I do like a little humor sometimes.

I love the "Who We Are" track on Slum Village's Trinity. I wish it was a full track. The groove is soulful and leaves me wanting more.

I LYK THE TRAKS ON COMMONS CD'S,
BUT THE BVEST ONES HE USED FOR A 20 SECOND OUTRO 4 EVERY TRAK DAM NEAR. OR ON EASTSIDAZ "10 CRACK COMMANDMENTS" THAT SKIT WAS DOPE BUTR THE TRAK WAS HELLA DOPE N KNOCIN.
I DONT KNO WHY THEY DO IT,
GUESS THEY THOUGH IT WAZ AN ALRIGHT TRAK, N NOT GOOD ENOUGH 4 SONG....
OR U KNO WHAT MAYBE THEY COULD RIGHT NOTHIN 2 IT.
I KNO PEPS THAT CANT RIGHT 2 ANYTHANG OR ITS NOT THEIR STYLE.
BUT THATS STILL NOT AN EXCUSE 2 DISS A DOPE N USE IT 4 A SKIT.
