DJ Qucik. Versatile on the beats and an excellent engineer. His beats are all reference material.

Agreed. Nobody ever mentions him and yet he always has nice beats and mixes.

I don't think he's underrated, he's just dated. He's a great arranger (especially strings), knows his stuff , but everything he makes has a dated sound (the 90s).

He's such a behind the scenes worker. No one really knows of the engineering/arranging work he does unless they're really doing their homework. He just iside out there like other producers – which is why he isn't mentioned by the younger crowd

Yes but what I meant was that even then he seemed underrated. He's like certain sports teams that always have a solid lineup and are really good, but can never win the title and people don't care either LOL.

True, but you have to look at what the man catered to. The 1st time I heard him was with a track featuring Toni Toni Toni. To me personally, he never moved out of that sound. As a producer, he catered to unknown artists (production control reasons I'm sure) and when he was brought onto bigger projects he only arranged.

He never got out of Pfunk which grew old fast compared to gfunk and other trendy stuff
