Yo, I'm not hating or nothin, but I don't think Sampletank is worth the money, when I got it, I was kinda disappointed, for $370, it should have better sounds...The brass sounds are cheesy as hell, and the sounds get boring really fast! The only good thing about it is the piano, bass, and acoustic drums! Everything else is boring...I've switched all the way to Edirol Orchestra after getting it! I hardly ever use Sampletank anymore when making a beat! You don't have to agree with me, but I'm just telling you, you should demo the sounds or something before getting it...

nah i got sampletank 2.

everything is pretty serviceable if you ask me.

really, the heart of sampletank are its effects. i made several great beats with some of those horns- there are a small handfull of pretty good horn patches. the pianos are pretty tinny to my ears; i have much better pianos on other applications. alkl in all it does come down to taste, but this is a very useable product.

Yeah, I feel you, but I personally like everything in Edirol Orchestra better, besides the piano, and it has no bass sounds...And the effects don't really stand out to me, I like the delay and the reverb, but I dunno, I just don't like Sampletank...The best thing about Sampletank is the tweaking ability! Now that's something that makes Sampletank stand out, but for me personally, Sampletank has become obsolete to my setup, and after I get a few more cheap plugins, Sampletank will no longer be on my hard drive...

Hey yo I just copped East West Quantum Leap's COLOSSUS which if you didn't know is a 32 Gigabyte Sound Library encompassing most sounds imaginable, it includes 3gb of drum sounds and a 2gb piano patch. I'm also rocking Native Instrument's Kontakt 2 (15gb), Motu Machfive (4.5gb), Sonik Synth 2 (9gb), NI Battery 2 and some more specialist sample libraries, my Motif 6 must be getting jealous, wouldn't trade it in though.
