yo i just copped a new mixer. and when i try to record anything now it picks up a huge static its wak how do i remove it....does it have to do with my cords??? somebody whos educated hollar at me

Can you let us know how u have it set up.

Turntable -> mixer (standard 16track or turntable mixer?)

Is the shit grounded properly. (probably)

But it may be ground loops, check to make sure no audio cables are running parallel to power cables, only perpindicular, also have everything plugged into the same main source.

And it could be the wires, cuz i have some RCA -> 1/4 wires that have nasty hiss on them too.

Is it a sharp crackle only on the louder sections of the music? This could be your levels. What's kind of mixer?

It could also be a bad crossfader, but this is unlikely if themixer is new.

Hum, Buzz, Crackle or Static? More than one?
